This replacement Mustang pickguard will only fit a genuine Fender Mustang that was made in the USA Factory between 1964 - 1982. This will NOT fit Re-issue Fender Mustangs that are made in the USA Custom Shop, or made in Japan, Korea, Mexico or the new Vibe series made in China.
This pickguard is made from red mirror - a clear acrylic material measuring .118" / 2.99mm thick with a 45 degree bevelled edge. The red reflective layer is attached to the underside of the acrylic, preventing it from getting scratched or dented once it is fitted to the instrument.
