We have compiled the very best electronic components into a complete kit. These are far superior to the electronic components fitted as standard on most production line guitars and provide the utmost in durability, quality and tone.
The Upgrade kit consists of:
- Three custom audio taper premium 275k spilt shaft CTS pots, with upgraded brass bushings and internal graphite wipers (AM-CTS-A-275K)
- One 0.047 Sprague Orange Drop Capacitor. (0.047CAP-OD)
- Four feet of USA made, 22 gauge, cloth covered wire (2 ft of black, 2 ft of white).
- One Oak USA 5 way switch (OAK5W-1)
- Switchcraft USA jack socket (WDE12N-1)
- All components come with the necessary washers, nuts and screws.... and we even throw in a diagram too, so you know what goes where.

- Three vintage-style custom audio taper premium 250k spilt shaft CTS pots, with upgraded brass bushings and internal graphite wipers (AM-CTS-A-250K-V).
- One Hosco paper and oil vintage-style capacitor (CR-047OIL).
- Four feet of USA made, 22 gauge, cloth covered wire (2 ft of black, 2 ft of white).
- One CRL USA 5 way switch with traditional spring action. (CRL5W-1)
- Switchcraft USA jack socket (WDE12N-1)
- All components come with the necessary washers, nuts and screws.... and we even throw in a diagram too, so you know what goes where.
Will these upgrade kits fit my guitar?
The CTS pots in both kits have a 24 spline shaft - some guitar knobs have 18 spines and will therefore not fit. Please see the Fender-style 24 spline knobs here for suitable replacement sets. In addition to this, the threaded section of the pots that go through the pickguard / scratchplate are 9.5mm in diameter. Some pots have a narrower diameter, meaning that larger holes may need to be drilled in the guard for the CTS pots to fit. The 5 way selector switch has the bigger 5mm lever and will require a switch tip with a bigger slot to suit, replacement tips are also available at the above link.
